About Us

Community Whole Health is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to providing essential health services to medically underserved adults in DeKalb County, Georgia, with a focus on reducing health disparities through lifestyle medicine interventions. We aim to improve access to quality healthcare for uninsured or underinsured individuals, addressing chronic conditions like hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. We also conduct health education workshops that empower individuals with the knowledge and skills to manage their health effectively. By enhancing health literacy, we help participants make informed decisions and adopt healthier lifestyles.

About Our Founder

Cashmere Miller

Cashmere Miller, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a highly qualified family nurse practitioner with over 10 years of nursing experience, holding a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Master of Nursing degree from Mercer University, along with a Bachelor of Science in human nutrition from the University of Alabama. Currently serving as an active-duty Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, she is assigned to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), where she works as a clinician within VET-HOME, the VA’s National Hub for Veterans with military environmental exposures. Cashmere is the author of "Military Environmental Exposures"  published in the American Journal of Nursing, which raises awareness of military environmental exposures and offers guidance about exposure-informed care. She was also featured on the April 2024 NP Pulse Podcast episode, where she discusses this important topic. Cashmere is a devout follower of Jesus Christ, and is devoted to whole-person healthcare, addressing root causes of chronic disease, and is passionate about serving the most underserved populations. She was recognized as a 2024 She Leads Georgia honoree which acknowledged her outstanding leadership, and contributions to healthcare and community service. She is happily married to her loving husband of 18 years, and they have four wonderful children.
